HC upholds life term for Amarmani in murder case

Just in: The High Court has upheld the life sentence of Amarmani Tripathi, a former Samajwadi Party MLA. The Uttarakhand High Court pronounce the decision on the bail application OF Tripathi, who is undergoing life term in jail in murder case of poetess Madhumita Shukla. Tripathi has in past made several attempts to get bail to be able to contest state assembly and Lok Sabha elections.and killing poetess Shukla in Lucknow in 2003.

After the investigation, it was found that the poetess was pregnant when she was murdered.
