The Supreme Court had expressly ordered the SIT to submit all the related documents collected by it during its investigation into the charges levelled by Zakia Jaffri in her petition.

The SIT report had sought a closure in the probe as it found no evidence against Narendra Modi. Jaffri, the widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jaffri who was among 69 persons killed in the Gulberg society carnage, has accused Modi and 57 others for alleged criminal conspiracy in the 2002 riots.
