TMC proposes Gopalkrishna Gandhi's name for VP

At the UPA meeting to finalise the alliance's candidate for the VP's post, Trinamool Congress leader and Railway Minister Mukul Roy is believed to have suggested the name of former West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi and former MP Krishna Bose.

Trinamool Congress had earlier opposed Pranab Mukherjee's candidature for the President's post in June.
