Home ministry calls Naxal-hit states, CRPF for a meet

In the wake of the controversy over the 'Naxal' encounter in Chhattisgarh, the home ministry has called a meeting of top officials of the nine states affected by left-wing extremism and the CRPF.   

Innocent villagers were reportedly killed by CRPF personnel, who had claimed that they were targeting Naxals, in the operation.   

The meeting will discuss how to deal with the issue of Naxals using innocent villagers as human shields.
