India at Asean: Backs freedom of navigation

External Affairs Minister S M Krishna is at Phnom Phen for the ASEAN summit. Amid growing tension between China and a number of ASEAN countries over territorial disputes relating to the South China Sea, India Krishna today said it supports freedom of navigation and access to resources in the region in accordance with principles of international law.

Krishna also delved on the issue of the grave threat of terrorism and sought a comprehensive global approach and strengthened commitment to deal with the menace.
