Jairam Ramesh in hospital after insect bite

Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi with glandular swelling.

Sources say that the minister was probably bit by an insect during his recent visit to tribal areas in Odisha.

He is expected to remain in hospital for the next two or three days.

Ramesh is the only Union minister, who has been frequently travelling to forests and tribal areas
