AP HC rejects Jagan Reddy''s bail plea in disproportionate assets

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday rejected YSR Congress Party leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's plea for bail in connection with disproportionate assets case.

The high court said that it agreed with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI and a CBI court''s contention that Reddy was not eligible for bail in connection with the case. The bail plea was rejected even as Jagan Reddy's mother Y.S. Vijayamma reached Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other Union Ministers to highlight the alleged partisan manner in which the CBI was probing the illegal assets case against her son.
