Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa's supporters have decided to withdraw their resignation. The move comes after Arun Jaitley spoke to Yeddyurappa.

Ten ministers loyal to the former CM resigned on Friday demanding an immediate change of guard in Karnataka.

"We have decided to withdraw our resignations. We have not given any deadlines,' said BJP Karnataka Water Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

The BJP leadership has assured Yeddyurappa that they will resolve the ongoing crisis.

The Yeddyurappa faction had set a deadline of July 5 for replacing Sadananda Gowda with Jagadish Shettar, the rural and panchayati raj minister and Yeddyurappa's preferred choice. It also claimed to have the support of 54 MLAs, who they said were willing to resign en masse, if Gowda isn't removed by that date.
