The largest online strike, in numbers and screen shots

OK, so everyone knows about the largest online strike ever, the January 18 blackout by Google and Wikipedia to protest against Sopa and Pipa, but if you want to know about the protest in numbers, here's a looksee.

  • The protest garnered 10,000,000 signatures. 
  • Over 3000,000 emails were sent.
  • 115,000 sites participated in the strike. 
  • On Twitter, the stats by Wednesday evening (east coast time, with the west coast still being active), Sopa had 2200,000 hash-tags, Pipa had 411,000, and other related hash-tags ran into thousands.
