Priyanka's dress sense and other weighty things

Rupa Subramanya writes on IndiaRealTime, the Wall Street Journal's blog, on Priyanka Vadra's dress code -- Western clothes in Delhi and a handloom sari while electioneering in her mother and brother's constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.

'Ms Vadra is no doubt sincere in her affection for India's rural poor, but the way she signals it through her dress creates the opposite effect. Perhaps she should take a hint from Professor Rubinstein, and always wear jeans and t-shirt,' concludes Rupa. You can read it here.
