Apex court tells high court to decide Reliance plea fast

Just In: The Supreme Court has asked the Allahabad high court to decide expeditiously on Reliance Industries' plea challenging the Uttar Pradesh government's decision to impose VAT on gas sale.

The instruction came after Reliance Industries assured the Supreme Court that will pay VAT on sale of gas in Uttar Pradesh during the pendancy of case on double taxation in the high court.
