Modi gives a week's free electricity to TN ahead of visit

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has despatched 40,000 electric poles from Gandhinagar to the cyclone-affected areas of Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu. Modi has promised to give Tamil Nadu free power for a week.

Modi is visting Chennai on Pongal and is expected to meet Jayalalithaa in Chennai, with a lunch meet thrown in.
