Just in: At the meeting with President Pratibha Patil this morning, the BJP submitted a memorandum demanding reconvening of the Parliament session so that voting is conducted on the Lokpal Bill.
Senior BJP leaders LK Advani, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj, along with a delegation of MPs are briefing the press after meeting President Pratibha Patil over what call the Lokpal fiasco.
Jaitley says the Lokpal fiasco is a subversion of the political system. Says the delegation told the president that they protested the no vote in the Rajya Sabha and asked the president to intervene and order a probe. The BJP says it will observe a protest week.
