Told to pipe down, Saif breaks diner's nose

Rediff.com's Toral Varia reports that a case has been registered against Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at the Colaba police station for "causing grievous hurt" under setion 325 of the IPC.

According to sources at the Colaba police station the complaint was registered late last night.

It said that Saif and his girlfriend Karina Kapoor were having dinner at Wasabi, the Taj Hotel's Japanese restaurant.

The complainant, Iqbal Sharma, a resident of Juhu was also having dinner with his family at an adjoining table.

When Sharma complained to Saif about the noise, the actor allegedly told him to go to the library if he wanted peace.

Following this, a scuffle broke out between the two. In his complaint, Sharma said that Saif and his two associates assaulted him and fractured his nose.

The Colaba police station has registered the case and investigations are on.
