A Delhi court has granted exemption from personal appearance to the promoters of Essar and Loop who were summoned as accused in the 2G case.  Essar Group Director Vikas Saraf appears and moves a bail plea in the court which seeks response from the CBI on March 17.

However, the promoters of Loop Telecom and Essar Group today failed to appear before the Supreme Court in connection with a summons related to the 2G  spectrum scam case. According to reports, I.P. Khaitan, Kiran Khaitan, Anshuman Ruia and Ravi Ruia sought exemption from attending the apex court proceedings scheduled for today.

The Supreme Court had last week refused to grant an interim stay on summons issued against Loop Telecom and the Essar Group.
