Last night Colin Firth played the real life Prince Charming as he came to Meryl Streep's rescue at the Bafta awards. The actor, who was presenting Meryl with the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, leaped into action as Meryl's shoe flew off as she made her way to the podium to pick up her prize.
