Explain bail plea for Pappu Yadav, SC asks CBI, govt

The Supreme Court today issued notices to the Centre and the CBI on a bail plea of former RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav in Ajit Sarkar murder case. A bench headed by Justice Altamas Kabir while issuing the notices asked the respondents to file their replies within two weeks.
Yadav is serving life imprisonment for killing Sarkar, who was a CPI(M) MLA.
