British minister resigns over 2003 speeding offence

Chris Huhne, one of the senior-most ministers in Britain's ruling coalition, today resigned as the United Kingdom's energy secretary after he was charged with perverting the course of justice relating to a speeding offence committed in 2003. The speeding offence was committed on March 12, 2003, when Huhne was driving back from Stansted airport to his home in Essex.
