Minor raped while being dropped to school

A 13-year-old school girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Kattaya village in Karnataka's Hassan district, police said today. Rangaraju, who took the eighth standard student on his motorcycle following her mother's request to drop her at school, allegedly raped the girl and threatened her not to disclose the incident, police said.

The incident happened on December 18 evening when the girl needed to go to school to go on a study tour, sources said. Police said a case was registered last night and efforts are on to nab Rangaraju,who is absconding.
