Rape victim's death: UP village grieves for daughter

A pall of gloom descended on Delhi gangrape victim's village on the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar border istrict as soon as the news of her death poured in, reports The Hindu.

Infuriated, young men cried for immediate justice and threatened violence. Elders, however, restrained them. For the most part, the grief was directed inwards: some villagers even refused to light their stoves.
