Crime Branch to probe dead constables case
December 27, 2012  11:07
Onkar Singh reports: Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar has shifted investigations in the death of constable Subhash Tomar to the crime branch to speed up the probe.

Tomar was allegedly beaten up near India Gate during the anti-rape protests, and was injured in the chest, head and neck after protesters repeatedly kicked and punched him after he fell on the street.

Sources claim that the case was transferred because the local police has to deal with the Republic Day celebrations.

The two eyewitnesses are being questioned now.
