Though traffic has not been stopped on the road around India Gate and Amar Jawan Jyoti, there are heavy barricades at all entry points to Amar Jawan Jyoti. The police is in full anti-riot gear, barricades have been tied together with ropes. Loudspeakers have also been put up."

First Congress reaction from Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, "Whether you are in power or not, you have to be sensitive. Leaders should think before they speak."
