Moderate earthquake shakes Northeast

K Anurag reports from Guwahati: An earthquake of moderate intensity rocked parts of North East including the region's main city Guwahati at 10:15 tonight.

According to sources the intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 5.5 in the Richter Scale. The epicenter lies near Monoya in Myanmar. There was no report of any loss of life and property due to the quake from any part of the region.
