And some heartening news. Doctors at Safdarjung Hospital say the Delhi gang-rape victim continues to be stable. The news alert comes probably after rumours since last night that she had passed away as a result of the grievous injuries she received when the six men gang-raped her on Sunday night. Docs says she has regained consciousness and her condition, while still critical, is stable. "But it will be a challenge to ensure she is kept infection-free and gangrene does not set in," say doctors who are treating her.
