Bomb blast in Manipur, civilian injured, CRPF vehicle damaged

There has been a bomb blast in Manipur. A civilian was injured when two powerful bombs, suspected to have been planted by militants at a roadside, exploded in Imphal east district of Manipur today, minutes after a CRPF convoy passed through. Sources said the bombs, made of improvised explosive device (IED), went off at 10.20 am at Porompat water tank area, about 100 metres from Porompat Police Station, while several water tankers were coming to collect water from the tank. The bombs were planted on both sides of the road.
