No lapses by Delhi police: Comissioner

Delhi CP insists there are no lapses by the police. "The victim and her friend boarded the deluxe bus without realising it was not on duty. Deluxe buses cannot be stopped for checking," he says.
In the Rajya Sabha MPs urge home minister Sushilkumar Shinde to act immediately and stringently in the case. Shinde says if there are any lapses in the probe the government would try and rectify it. To which Jaya Bachchan urges Shinde to amend the remark. "Please say we will rectify it and not we will try and rectify it," she says.
The opposition asks for a specific time frame for the accused to be brought to justice. With that the discussion on the Delhi gangrape has ended and the House moves on to other business listed on the agenda.
