Del top cop wants gangrape case to be fast tracked

Delhi poliice commissioner Neeraj Kumar gives a recap of the case, facts which are public knowledge now. Four persons have been arrested in connection with the gang-rape of the 23-year-old student, two yet to be arrested. The top cop says the six were out on a joy ride in the luxury bus. The victim was pushed out of the moving bus. The rear door of the bus was shut.

One of the four arrested accused, one is a driver, another his brother, a third is a fruit seller, while the fourth is an assistant gym instructor. The two others are absconding, but have been identified. "We want a day-to-day trial in a fast track court," says Neeraj Kumar. "The victim is still critical and on a ventilator, but is improving," he says.
