US school shooting: Vigils to be held for Newtown victims

Just hours after the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the town will begin to come together to begin the healing process.

A special service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church Friday at 7 p.m. The church pastor, Monsignor Robert Weiss spent much of the day with the families affected by the tragedy.

St. Rose of Lima Church is located at 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown.A second prayer service will also be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church on Main Street in Newtown. The service will contain prayers and music.Vigils have been planned in other cities and towns Friday.
