The return of Google Maps to iOS. Here's why it's good

So there's been hurrahs all around from Apple users over the return of Google Maps to the iOS ecosystem. Sure, most of us are simple users, and our needs are quite basic: to know how to get from point A to point B. But how does Google Maps score otherwise?

Sacha Grief, a designer from Paris, France writes on his blog: 'Playing around with the app, I was impressed by the design, and I thought it would be interesting to highlight a couple things,' which he goes on to do here.
