December 13, 2012  10:11
The Supreme Court is expected to pronounce its verdict on Mulayam Singh Yadav's plea asking the apex court to review its order which initiated a CBI probe into the alleged accumulation of illegal assets by the Yadav family on Thursday.

Mulayam and his family members have said that there is no evidence against them and that they are being harassed by political adversaries.

A bench of Chief Justice Altamas Kabir and Justice HL Dattu, which had reserved its order on February 17, 2011, will pronounce the verdict on review petition filed by Yadav, his sons Akhilesh and Prateek and daughter-in-law Dimple.

The apex court had ordered a CBI inquiry on March 1, 2007 into the alleged accumulation of disproportionate assets by Yadav family, on a public interest litigation (PIL) by an advocate, Vishwanath Chaturvedi, reportedly a Congress leader.
