Tarigami hits out at Shinde on AFSPA

The CPI-M in Jammu and Kashmir today took exception to the government's contention that the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act will not be withdrawn from the state until the situation is completely peaceful and demanded that it should be immediately scrapped.

State party secretary M Y Tarigami also wondered over Sushilkumar Shinde's statement on the withdrawal of AFSPA from Kashmir, saying that the Union Home Minister should "explain what he perceives from the criteria 'complete peace, quite and calm' in Kashmir?"
