SC/ST bill may get stuck in Congress' throat

Buzz in the Central Hall of Parliament is that the Congress may be unable to resolve the SC/ST reservations bill. The MPs discussing the issue were wondering whether the party would go with Mayawati or Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Well, the Congress has two options.
One strategy is to bail out the Samajwadi Party and suspend nine MPs from the Rajya Sabha and get the Constitution Amendment bill passed.
The second option is difficult to put into practice and they will have to tread cautiously. The Congress has to put the proposal before Rajya Sabha chairperson Hamid Ansari.
