Govt set to win FDI vote in RS: SP walks out
December 07, 2012  14:54
Samajwadi Party stages a walkout. Anand Sharma is now concluding his speech. "If you think there are discrepancies in your data with what the Congress has presented, you need to rebuke your research assistants. You (the BJP) have shamed India before the world considering how uncivilly you have behaved. This will mean that foreign investors will be scared to invest here in future."

BJP's Ram Jethmalani wants to make a statement, but is prevented from doing so, since he hasn't informed the chair. Jethmalani asks the chair, "Are you so scared that you don't want me to speak?" he asks the deputy chairman.

Dr V Maitreyan takes over for the concluding statements before the House gets ready to vote.
