Lalu lila: Dedicates a couplet to Sushma Swaraj

Lalu then looks at Sushma Swaraj and says that he will dedicate a shayari to her. But he first clears the ground saying he respects her and considers her, his elder sister (didi). The couplet goes something like this: Mohabbat mein tumhe ansoon bahane nahi ata, Benares aake Benares ka paan khana nahin aata! Swaraj takes it in with a smile as do the rest of the members.

The Speaker hurries him on saying she has a long list of MPs waiting to be heard. Lalu obliges. The next one up is Deve Gowda.
