DMK supports FDI. Left asks govt to think of weeping families

The debate on FDI in Parliament has ended some time ago. Here's what the TKS Elangovan of the DMK said: We strongly oppose FDI, but we will not vote against the government because we do not want to let them down; we do not want to join the Opposition.

Basudeb Acharia, Left: West "If Walmart gives one person a job, it will deprive many other people of employment. Why can't the government see the tears in the eyes of the the families whose breadwinners have committed suicide." he asks looking at Kapil Sibal, who had held forth for the UPA.

The Lok Sabha will vote on FDI at 6 pm tomorrow.
