Slap-happy MNS corporator arrested, given bail

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena corporator who repeatedly slapped a 65-year-old private contractor over the alleged 'delay' in repairing a damaged water pipeline, has finally been arrested, but released on bail.

The footage of the assault, which was telecast by news channels in Mumbai on Saturday, showed MNS corporator Nitin Nikam repeatedly hitting D G Patil over water shortage in Ganeshwadi locality in Mumbai, in full public view.
