Ratan Tata: There could be a Tata factory in Bengal

At his last Annual General Meeting as Chairman of the Tata group, Ratan Tata today raised hopes for investment in Bengal. Addressing the meeting, Tata said the Group will not run away from West Bengal and added, "Who knows, there could be a Tata Motor factory somewhere in West Bengal."

Tata presided over the Tata Tea AGM in Kolkata. He is set to retire as chairman in December 2012 and 44-year old Cyrus Pallonji Mistry, who is the current Deputy Chairman, will take over from him.
