PM leaves for Tehran to attend 4-day NAM summit

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has left for Tehran, Iran, to attend the NAM summit. The Prime Minister will arrive in the Iranian capital of Tehran on a four-day visit today to attend the NAM Summit, prior to which he will hold crucial bilateral talks with Iran's top leadership, including supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ignoring US reservations.

Dr Singh will also be holding bilateral meetings with leaders from other countries, including Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the sidelines of the 16th Summit of the 120-nation grouping.
