NDTV reports: The Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to unite the opposition ahead of an all-party meet called by the Speaker to end the deadlock in Parliament over the government auditor's report on coal allocation.

The main Opposition party, which leads the National Democratic Alliance, wants to meet all opposition leaders ahead of the Monday meeting, sources said, adding that NDA convenor Sharad Yadav has extended invites to Samajwadi Party's Mulayam Singh Yadav, Bhaujan Samaj Party's Mayawati, Telugu Desam Party's Chandrababu Naidu and also some Left leaders.

An all-party meeting called by the Rajya Sabha Chairman to end the impasses failed to find a solution yesterday. The Chairman had called the meeting after a cacophonous BJP paralysed Parliament for the third day in a row, demanding the Prime Minister's resignation over what is being called "Coal-gate."
