Mamata: All-party meet needed, PC will save farmers

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee addressing the press after meeting finance minister P Chidambaram says they discussed the state's financial situation, but insisted it was a regular meeting. "It is customary to meet new ministers, but we did discuss state issues like the high price of fertilizers and told the him to save farmers," she says. "What Punjab can afford Bengal cannot afford. Bengal is poor," she said and added, "he said he will take care of the issue."
