Kolkata: Nicco Park shut down after mishap

Amusement arcade, Nicco Park, was closed down today at the instruction of the police a day after 17 people including children were injured when a chute collapsed.

"We have been asked by the police to close down the park from today so that they are able to probe the accident," a senior Nicco Park official told PTI.

After the accident at 2:45 pm on Tuesday, the park was kept open till 7:30 pm, he said. The official said that the authorities would take all steps to ensure safety in the park.
