August 22, 2012  10:53
In an aftermath of the Azad Maidan violence, the Maharashtra Home Ministry had sent a proposal to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan recommending the transfer of Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik, reports IBN.

Patnaik drew a lot of flak for allegedly mishandling the situation on August 11 in which two people were killed and 55 others, including 45 policemen were injured. Sources said that the proposal was sent to Chavan four days ago but its still awaiting his consent.
