Mumbai: Speeding car runs over 5 policemen

Five policemen were injured early Saturday morning after they were hit by a speeding car in Mumbai's Powai suburb.

The mishap took place around 4 am when the cops were investigating another accident case, and the SUV rammed into them, they said.

The car driver has been detained whereas the injured policemen were rushed to nearby Rajawadi Hospital, police said.

The police is now verifying whether the person behind the wheels was under the influence of alcohol or not.
