Sharad Yadav takes on UPA for not speaking Hindi
August 13, 2012  12:18
Back to Ramlila for a bit.

JD(U) president Sharad Yadav speaks on almost everything under the sun, from history to sports. He criticises the slavish way cricket matches are broadcast and connects it to our colonial past. He says the victories at the Olympics are real victories because there is no colonial link and the victorious are the sons of the soil.

He then moved on to Hindi and English and criticised the UPA saying that they didn't speak the language of the people.

"Our finance minister P Chidambaram doesn't know the national language and speaks only English, but Ramdev spoke the language of the people."
He also said that only those who speak English get jobs and there should therefore be equal employment opportunities for those who don't know the language.

We've missed the connection between this and the black money issue.
