Guard confesses to killing 25-yr-old Mumbai lawyer

The security guard arrested for the murder of 25-year-old lawyer Pallavi Purkayastha, who was found dead with her throat slit in her rented flat in Mumbai's Wadala area, has confessed to the crime.

The guard has reportedly told the police that he had an altercation with Purkayastha a couple of days ago and was upset with her rude behaviour and killed her.

Police sources say that the guard was missing from work all day and was picked up from the Mumbai Central station. He was the last person seen visiting Purkayastha's apartment, reports NDTV.
