Shocker! Molestor cop Rathore's pension restored
August 09, 2012  10:40
The Punjab and Haryana high court yesterday ordered to restore the pension benefits to the former Haryana DGP, S P S Rathore, who was convicted in Ruchika molestation case.

However, while directing the central government to restore Rathore's pension, Justice S K Mittal has made it clear that restoration of pension to Rathore would be provisional and subject to the outcome of the appeal filed by Rathore before the Supreme Court against his conviction.

S P S Rathore's pension was withheld by the MHA in June 2010, following his conviction in the Ruchika molestation case by a district court in Chandigarh and the Punjab and Haryana high court.
