Shinde snaps at Jaya: Assam is not a filmy issue

High drama in the Rajya Sabha today. As home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was speaking on the Assam issue, in response to what BJP senior leader Arun Jaitley, SP MP Jaya Bachchan tried to butt in.

Shinde turned around snapped at her and said, "this is a serious issue, not a filmy one." The uproar from the opposition benches was immediate and expected. Shinde apologised and said he was sorry if he had hurt Jaya and that she was like his sister.
