In 2010, AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi had called Sudarshan a "fossil" and said that a person associated with an organisation which boasts of culture and decency should not stoop so low by using such a derogatory language and make false charges. Sudarshan had allegedly called Sonia Gandhi a CIA agent and accused her of plotting the assassinations of her husband and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and his mother Indira Gandhi.
