K'taka journalists boycott Moily's press meet
August 02, 2012  19:06
Newspapers and television channels from Karnataka boycotted a press meet in New Delhi called by newly appointed Union Power Minister Veerappa Moily today, reports our correspondent from New Delhi.

The Kannada media had accused Moily of giving preference to English news channels. Moliy showed us the door, they allege.

However, the minister denied the allegations and said that he asked them to wait but they left in a huff. Today, Moily repeatedly invited media persons from Karnataka and was planning to devote an hour to them.

However, the Kannada channels forced journalists from the print media to give the briefing a skip.
