Jayalalithaa likely to back Jaswant for VP

NDA Vice Presidential poll candidate Jaswant Singh will meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and AIADMK chief on August 6 seeking her support for his election bid. If sources in New Delhi are to be believed the party will back Jaswant Singh for the post.

Though the numbers are stacked highly against Singh and UPA candidate Hamid Ansari is virtually set to get a second term as Vice President, BJP is making all efforts to put up a respectable contest. Other than NDA partners, BJP is trying to reach out to non-Congress parties, nominated and Independent MPs.
